About Mr. Avoka Douglas
<p class="ql-align-justify">Mr. Avoka Douglas is the founding President of the Oral Health Professionals Association of Ghana (OHPAG) and brings extensive cumulative experience from service with the Ghana Health Service and the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG), beginning in 2009. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Therapy from Garden City University College, a Diploma in Dental Surgery Technology from the College of Health, Kintampo, and a Certificate in Community Health Nursing from the Navrongo Community Health Nurses’ Training School (CHNTS). </p><p class="ql-align-justify"><br></p><p class="ql-align-justify">In addition to his formal qualifications, Mr. Douglas has undertaken several professional short courses, including Management and Leadership in Global Health from Washington University. He was a member of the panel that developed the Dental Therapy curriculum for the College of Health, Kintampo, in 2017. He also served as the immediate past Chairperson of the Oral Health Profession-Specific Committee of the Allied Health Professions Council. </p><p class="ql-align-justify"><br></p><p class="ql-align-justify">Mr. Douglas, held a directorship for two renowned health facilities at various locations in the country. Also, he is a founding co-director of a non-government organizational (NGO), Health in Action Ghana LBG with the sole aim reaching out to the vulnerable persons with health intervention.</p><p><br></p>
